Monday – January 2, Warwick Farm

Start 2012 off with the thrill and excitement that only a day at the races can deliver. Warwick Farm will host the Tattersalls Club Cup, a Listed race for horses three-years-old and up and set over 2100m. The Cup is worth $100,000 which will ensure only the best horses will front-up to the day. The other feature race of the day, the Carrington Stakes, is again a Listed race for horses three-years-old and upwards. The race is run over 1100m which will garner the attention of the best sprinters around. Warwick Farm is now as popular with family groups as it is with regular race-goers, many taking advantage of the rural atmosphere and spacious, tree-lined grounds to relax with a picnic on the lawns.

Thursday – January 12, Gosford

The 2012 Gosford Quarries Gold Cup is the biggest event in Gosford’s racing year. The Gold Cup, worth $125,000 is a Listed race, guaranteeing only the best horses from around the city and country will contest the race. The seven race program will begin at 2.45pm and should conclude at 6.45pm. Then get ready to rock as Australian rock legends Mental As Anything perform on the front lawn after the last race. Friday – January 13, Canterbury Park

Friday Night under the lights at Canterbury Park will peak when the Canterbury Classic Stakes; a Listed race for horses three-years-old and upwards takes place. The $100,000 feature race is set over 1100m and is complemented by a seven race program. The first 500 patrons through the gate will receive a mystery trifecta bet courtesy of the TAB. Saturday – January 21, Rosehill Gardens

The $250,000 Inglis Classic for two-year-old horses is the feature race of the day at Rosehill Gardens. Run over the same course and distance as the Golden Slipper, the Inglis Classic is a great feature race event and precursor to the Sydney Carnival.

Saturday – January 26, Warwick Farm

Celebrate Australia Day with a day at the race. What could be more Australian? The Australia Day Cup is a Listed race for horses three-years-old and upwards and is run over 2400m.
